Kittredge was a proud participant of the 2021 Yale Branford / Saybrook kitchen renovation project. The last time these kitchens were upgraded was 20 years ago.
Branford and Saybrook Colleges are connected to each other by the building they share but they are independent with their dormitories and serveries.
Prior to this 2021 renovation, the serveries used a “cafeteria style” service with tray slides. With the redesign, meals are prepared in front of the diners as the kitchens are now part of the servery. And the serving lines are segmented into customized food stations.
Equipment provided as follows: BSI counters / sneezeguards. American Panel walk-ins, EVO griddles, Halton Hoods, Aquaduct hoods, Delfield refrigeration, Jade cooking suites, LTI drop ins, TurboChef Fire Pizza Ovens, RDT refrigeration racks, and Cambro shelving.
