Northern Essex Community College is in the new Heights at Haverhill building on the banks of the Merrimack River.
This was an extremely difficult 2 phase installation on the 3rd floor of the building. Our install team, headed by Nick Snyder, had to get all of the equipment up through a window opening using an outside elevator in the dead of winter.
The Main Culinary Kitchen is mirrored on the other side by the Bakery – all 3 sides surrounded by glass with a spectacular view of the river and downtown Haverhill.
The Main Culinary Kitchen included a lot of custom stainless steel – prep & training tables, and sinks by Eagle and Advance. An Alto Shaam Combi Oven, Towne Smoker, Irinox Blast Chiller/Freezer, lots of Vulcan cooking equipment, and Gaylord hoods.
The Bakery included a Baxter Baking Deck Oven, Eagle Mobile Bakery Tables with custom butcher block tops, Univex Dough Sheeter, Gaylord hoods, Vulcan Ranges and Oven, Alto Shaam Combi Oven, and Traulsen Refrigeration.
Both kitchens are connected in the center by a dishroom and a Bally walk-in cooler/freezer combo. The Dishroom has an Hobart AM15 dishwasher with custom cleaning dishtables by Custom Metals of MA.
